For this hand-over, Daniela Stieglitz and Dorothea Erdbrügger visited us and explained in very open words their work in the ambulant children and youth hospice institution. To stay at site when others are at a loss for words and turn away is just one aspect describing the support of this institution.
Together with more than 40 (volunteer) employees, they are available for affected families of children, adolescents or young adults with life-shortening diseases and accompany their everyday lives. Spending time together, providing the affected children with beautiful moments, caring for siblings and supporting the parents emotionally, organizationally, but also with the necessary bureaucracy, and always offering an open ear, is the core of the support, which sometimes lasts for years.
Even though we were 100% sure beforehand that our donation would help exactly where needed, we are now even more convinced after this moving conversation.
In the name of all MINDA employees, we say THANK YOU for the emotional maximum performance, which all employees of the ambulant child and youth hospice institution carry out!
And on behalf of our management, we say THANK YOU to all MINDA runners who put on their running shoes for this donation. It was a fantastic team effort!
